The problem
Lumen Labs had a powerful analytics engine buried under a UI that punished new users. Activation was slow, churn was high, and the team was spending more time on support than on shipping.
The redesign
We rebuilt the main workspace around three jobs — explore, compare, share — and cut the navigation in half. The new system uses a shared component library that both the product team and the marketing team pull from, so everything finally feels like one piece.
The biggest win was the empty states. We treat them as onboarding instead of decoration, and it moved the needle more than any other change.
